Birthday Carousel

It is a long time since I've been on a carousel - but images of carousel horses always bring back fond memories.  This one inspired me to create a birthday card

Christmas Colour Challenge

The final challenge of the week.  I didn't use the freebie image for this one as I won't have access to a printer before the challenge closes.  I think this is the first time when there has been a week long challenge that I have had to do that!

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft - from the paper pad I bought while on holiday.  It was one that I hadn't seen before so I bought it - particularly as it was an aquatic themed one.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with Promarkers and then fussy cut.  I added two silver stars which I had diecut using a Memory Box die and some glitter cardstock before I left home.

Humourous Recipe

I printed out a few Christmas images from Bugaboo Stamps before I left home - as I have limited ability to print while on holiday.  It has been a bit more of a challenge to work with just a few images - but I have managed to create a card for all 7 days!

ABC Christmas - No Rules
http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2016/07/n-is-for-no-rules.html

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps and have been coloured with Promarkers.  I matted with some textured cardstock from American Crafts.  The embellishments are some I die-cut before I left home.  The border is from a paper pad that I bought while on holiday (not a Christmas one but it works anyway) and I embellished it with some rhinestones.

Christmas BINGO

So far so good - the internet has only played up once while I'm trying to upload these posts.  Hopefully I can get the remainder done before I go out for the day.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2016/07/christmas-in-july-day-4-tuesday.html

For this card, I followed the BINGO line - Sparkly + Bugaboo Image + Lime Green

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by MME.  I added a doily which has been sprayed with Dylusions Ink (I coloured a few of these and brought them on holiday with me in case I wanted to use them - glad I did!).  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with Promarkers and then sparkled with some Kindy Glitz.  I added some rhinestones as well for some extra sparkle.

Tag You're It

This one I was really having a struggle with.  I had brought a plain tag with me but wasn't sure how I was going to decorate it!  When I went to The Paper Teapot I bought some Distress Paints, a piece of olive green colour textured ribbon and some red ribbon - all of which I have used on the tag.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

As well as the items mentioned above, I used an image from Bugaboo Stamps which I coloured with Promarkers and then glittered with some Stickles.

Christmas Sketch

I made a slight variance from the sketch on this one.  As I said in my previous post, I am currently on holiday and didn't bring much crafting stuff with me, but I did go shopping at The Paper Teapot today and they had one packet of Christmas buttons left over from last year.  I couldn't resist using one on this card as the colour matched so well!

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by MME.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps, coloured with Promarker and then fussy cut.  I used a strip of red cardstock across the top and a string of rhinestones along the bottom.  I typed a few sentiments on the computer before I left home - and this is one of them.

You're a Flake

I'm currently away from home - with temperamental internet and next to no crafting supplies.  It has taken me all week but I have managed to create some cards for the Christmas in July challenge.  Hopefully, I can get them all uploaded okay!

CHNC Midway July

I'm currently on vacation - in the middle of winter no less!  This post may appear a bit after the midway point of the CHNC Extra Challenge - but still a good chance to remind you of the Anything Christmas challenge!  We have usual sponsor of Bugaboo Stamps and if you head over to the challenge blog, there is some midway inspiration from the Design Team.

I have used an image from the Mini Set - Twelve Days of Christmas for my midway card:

I have also used papers from a christmas paper pad called "Home For Christmas" by Kaisercraft.  I added some green ribbon and a sentiment from the same paper pad - which kind of matched the three pieces on the sketch.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers C2, R59, R46, G28, G21, YR23,

Christmas Candle

I have had this candle die for some time - but never managed to use it until now.  I'm quite pleased wiht how it looks being so open that I'm sure I'll be using it again soon!

Make a joyful noise

A more traditional image - with a less traditional colour in the background.  I feel this colour adds to the vintage feel of the card though.

I love this image - although I do have a habit of adding Stickles to the trim on the hood and sleeves.  I decided this time I would be strong and not succumb to temptation!  I'm really pleased with the look of it too.

Christmas in July

It is the right weather for it!  Here in New Zealand, we have Christmas in the middle of summer - yet most of our Christmas cards depict winter scenes!  Right now, it is winter - so appropriate for those winter scenes!

Red Orchids

I'm not sure whether orchids actually come in bold colours like red - creative licence here!  All the orchids I have seen have been pale in colour.  I must remember not to give it to someone like my son who is particular about the colours of things!

For my stop along the hop, I am excited to share the project I created for the magazine.
Check it out:

For my project, I created a photo album from scratch.  I used cardstock for the pages and bound it with a Zutter machine.

I used several items from the sets above:
The background paper comes from Patterned Papers Set
The towel is from Elements set
The fins are from Elements set
The water splashes are from Elements set
The brads are from Brads Buttons & Bows set
The lettering is cut from one of the Glitter papers

I used a alphabet die set to cut out the letters and I also outlined them with a white pen.

Next stop on the blog hop route is Julie's blog.  Click HERE to head there now!

If you miss any of the stops along the way, here is the complete list. You are definitely going to want to check out what my fellow hoppers have in store for you:
